Graham Braddock Art Workshop

Last week we had the artist Graham Braddock come to school and do a workshop with us.  He showed us how to sketch a bushman's whare and how to shade our sketch.  When we returned to class we coloured our sketches with coloured pencils.

Science

We have been learning about Volcanoes, Earthquakes and Tsunamis.  We have talked about what to do if a volcano was going to erupt close by and what to do if there was a tsunami.  We decided to act out what we would do if there was an earthquake while we were at school.

Reading

This week the  Red Group read the play 'Absolutely Not!'  They practised everyday and made masks and on Friday they performed the play for the class.  We hope you enjoy it.

Our Cupcakes

Technology - Baking

We are learning about baking cupcakes and we have been thinking about different ways you can ice them.  On Wednesday we were very lucky to have Mrs Suh come to school and show us how she decorates her cakes and cupcakes.

We had Fireman Phil come to visit us and tell us about his job as a firefighter.  Mrs Reardon put on his firefighting clothing and he let us put on his helmet.

Jobs People Do

We have been learning about jobs people do.  We had a visit from Constable Glenys and from Joey's Mum.  They told us all about their jobs and showed us some photos.
